Building UIs

I spent this week building user interfaces for recipe books, customer orders and the computer system for making purchases.

I was a little intimidated by Godot’s endless control nodes, but they’re actually much more intuitive than they seem. Here’s the official list of weekly updates:

Sprites drawn:

  • Bubble animation for drink mixing

  • Cashier monitor

  • Designed main menu layout

  • UI backgrounds

  • 7 icons for Computer UI

Implemented in code:

  • Added density signalling between ingredients and fluid simulator

  • Added espresso mug interaction

  • Computer UI

Bugs fixed:

  • Not necessarily a bug, but tweaked fluid simulation velocities
